The purpose of this web site is not only to focus
attention on The Brazilian Fantasy show but also
to show my appreciation for the accomplishments of
Cenir, and public radio personalities like her,
who perform week after week on public radio
stations across America often without pay or benefits.
Typical of these D.J.'s, Cenir produces her show
and purchases the majority of CDs that she uses.
During her show, she is easily accessible by phone
so that listeners may ask questions about the
music, the language (Portuguese) and culture in
Brazil. And that, in my opinion, is performing a
public service as this information is not always
readily available to the average listener.
In addition, I would also like to thank Sue and
Don Richardson for their unwavering support of
the efforts of both Cenir and Chico and for the
best feijoada dinner parties in town.
